so i started playing around with something tonight i’ve wanted to play around with for a while. i figured out how to connect my super old (non smart) phone to my computer and have it act as a microphone. i then call it from another phone and record the “conversation” from the inside i guess.

the results were… weird. and awesome. this is total bullshit (total bullshit guitar and keyboard layered together and panned) recorded that way. i learned that it has absolutely no dynamics w/ volume. it’s either loud or it literally doesn’t pick it up. i’m going to try it again soon with two cell phones so i can have one on speaker and hopefully pick up the sound better.

in highschool i recorded a few folk songs from one cell phone to another (one on speaker) and just my laptop mic recording the live recording. i think if i can get 2 cell phones and record with speaker, it’ll sound really sweet. going to record either weird ambient/electronic things like this or maybe just some pop songs. see what happens. 

but yeah this is total bullshit but it’s fun sounding.
